GPM’s Software Developer serves as an essential contributor in coding, bugging, developing new features to the software, and documenting processes. Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will utilize Agile development processes to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug complex software applications.

What You’ll Do

  • Produce clean, efficient code according to specifications and design
  • Build designs and design elements to support software project efforts and help with team understanding
  • Contribute to software estimation efforts to build commitments for project milestones
  • Communicate with a team that includes analysts, engineers and quality assurance testers in order to coordinate and document applications development and testing
  • Develop software prototypes to aid in technical exploration and estimation
  • Support project resources scheduling and department capacity planning
  • Work mostly on clearly defined and scoped individual features or problems
  • Assume a high level of ownership of all work developed by members of the team
  • Have a positive impact on others and communicate openly and directly
  • Establish and maintain trusting relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Seek opportunities for improvement and participate in the development of innovative growth strategies

Who You Are

  • You have 3+ years of experience in software development (8+ Preferred for Senior or Lead Roles)
  • You have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or other applicable field (or equivalent experience)
  • You have previous working in languages such as ASP.NET MVC, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and SQL Server
  • You have great communication skills and work well with other team members
  • You thrive in a constructive and supportive environment
  • You show commitment and accountability for your work by following through on projects and goals
  • You have Agile Scrum experience (Preferred)
  • You have a strong knowledge of software development best practices
