About the Position

As a UX Researcher at Assurance, you will play an integral role in helping us learn about our customers and create solutions and experiences that build relationships.  You will be responsible for understanding the customer journey from awareness through purchase, and conducting primary research to test key hypotheses and inform the strategic direction of both products and business units.  You will have the opportunity to build the foundational processes of UX Research at Assurance, but you will also be given agency to define an appropriately scoped area of focus for your research in order to ensure your time and efforts are not stretched too thin.

This position is responsible for conducting high quality primary research with Assurance customers and potential customers, and delivering insights which lead to impactful, relationship-building experiences for our customers. They will own the customer journey from first contact through purchasing, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of product designers, product managers, data scientists, engineers, and other UX Researchers to deliver the best possible experience for our users. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Product, Consumer Experiences.

Qualifications

· A demonstrated track record of conducting primary customer research and deriving and delivering insights which have led to measurable business impact
· A deep understanding of the UX research process, including designing and conducting primary research, educating stakeholders, and being an internal evangelist for the customer
· A passion for solving core product problems through the lens of customer attributes, needs and motivations
· Experience collaborating with multiple disciplines including product, engineering, data scientists and more  
· Structured thinking and clear communication (both written and oral)
