(Senior) Technical Product Owner (m/f/d) - SAP Business Process Intelligence - remote
Signavio by SAP is looking for an experienced Technical Product Owner to strengthen our engineering team in Berlin. This opportunity is the right role for talented strong leaders, who can create a product vision and excitement in the team for the challenge we’re taking.
In this position you’ll be working autonomously, with a VP of Engineering being your main stakeholder and a Tech Lead being your main partner. You’ll be responsible for creating the vision and the roadmap for one of our key suite services. Understanding and setting the priorities for the motivated team of senior backend engineers will be your main day-to-day responsibility.
The product &domain
With the acquisition by SAP earlier this year, the current Signavio Business Transformation Suite will be integrated into SAP Business Process Intelligence, combining all the tools needed for analysing, improving and enabling business processes into a single solution suite.
The team owns the identity management &authentication domain which includes:
- user login &single sign-on
- customer on-/off-boarding
- provisioning of users, groups, licenens
- support administration of users, user groups and licenses
- integration with external identity management solutions
- integration with services of the SAP Business Process Intelligence suite
- ensure security standards as well as data protection and privacy guidelines
Please note that we are on our journey from a monolithic architecture towards individual services in a modern infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer business contexts, requirements, objectives and expectations
- Work with VP and stakeholders to identify the next opportunities and problem spaces to focus on
- Align priorities and maintain a prioritised backlog across all sources of work (for example other teams’dependencies, tech strategy…)
- Define user stories in collaboration with tech leads, engineers, Q&A
- Coordinate organisation of agile ceremonies, including refinements, plannings and review sessions
- Communicate progress, risks &expectations towards the team and stakeholders
Requirements
- Ability to understand and translate customer business challenges and concerns into a solution-oriented discussion effectively
- Ability to understand technical details of internal and external system landscapes and their implications on integration scenarios
- Ability to independently prioritize topics from various stakeholders;creating and communicating a roadmap
- Experience working as a Product Owner or Manager in an agile environment
- Ability to lead through and create progress when things aren’t clear or the way forward is not yet well-defined
- Communication skills that allow you to abstract and translate between technical and business domains and adjust communication style to different audiences
- A solid toolkit and methods that help you along the path from problem to a solution delivered and adopted (prioritisation, slicing and aligning scope…)
