BASIC FUNCTION

As an Engineer at LINQ, you will work as a member of a cross-functional team to deliver business critical applications of high function and technical quality. You will be responsible for working closely with the product owners and quality assurance to create software that fulfills business needs. You are capable of quickly learning new business domains as well as working in a team environment. You are passionate about delivering high quality, maintainable software to the business.

EAM OVERVIEW

As a part of Shared Service’s Form and Workflow team you will be responsible for working on LINQ’s Workflow and Form Engine which is the backbone of numerous school district’s processes all across the nation. The team is responsible for delivering a fully customizable workflow product as well as a rich digital and paper forms experience. Come be a part of building a product that is setting a new bar for digitization and efficiency in education.

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILL REQUIREMENTS

At least 6+ years of experience in Software Application Development

6+ Years of Java experience building backend http services

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent working experience

Strong understanding of non-relational and relational database systems Strong understanding of object-oriented programming

A proven track record of building and shipping highly available and scalable production HTTP Web Services (We will ask for specific examples)

Experience designing and documenting APIs that delight other developers. (We believe building APIs should be seen through a Developer UX lens)

Extensive experience in creating applications using the following technologies:

AWS cloud platform with server-based and serverless infrastructure Infrastructure-as-a-service (CloudFormation Preferred)

NoSQL (DynamoDB Preferred) Strong TypeScript or JavaScript (ES6) skills Strong belief in and use of best practices

Docker

Modern AngularJS (1.5 or above using Components)

Angular

Micro-service patterns

Event Based Architectures

Spring Boot

Some Experience in the Following Technologies is Nice to Have but not Required:

Apache POI

PDFBox

Experience practicing DevOps and CI/CD

Experience with unit testing and test-driven development
