We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test to help lead our test automation efforts as part of our growing QA engineering team. As our first Software Engineer in Test, you'll be laying the ground rules, standards, and best-practices for automation engineering at Contra, in close collaboration with our Lead QA engineer and the engineering team that your work supports. If you share a passion for high-quality software, strong engineering principles, and building in a startup environment, we'd love to hear from you. Your work will be seen across the organization and help us reliably and swiftly ship product at scale.
You’ll be successful here if you
- Experience with designing and developing end-to-end automated tests with a framework like Cypress
- Experiencing writing automated tests for different types of applications (web, mobile, server-side, etc.)
- Experience with writing API automation scripts and validating APIs
- Experience leading test automation projects in a highly collaborative environment
- Experience with Javascript and/or TypeScript
- Experience with establishing QA best practices, methodologies, and processes
- Working knowledge of CI/CD
