Recognize is looking to add a USA-based senior web developer to the team. In a small team of professionals, the role will work directly with the CTO and CEO to create new exciting features for our customers.
Recognize is a social network for companies to award and reward their employees. It is a fun product to work on and we try to make it a fun place to work as well. Flexible schedule. Making a difference in workers' lives. We've been around for eight years now. We are based in Berkeley and Austin, but the position is remote.
Required experience in most of these:
- RoR / Hotwire / Turbolinks / Puma / AWS
- Rspec / Capybara
- React Native / Javascript
- Sass / Bootstrap 5
- Grape / Swagger
The role is dynamic. You'll have the opportunity to work on various enterprise integrations, such as Zapier or MS Teams as well as mobile apps in React Native.
Things you should know:
- Design patterns (What is a singleton vs. a decorator)
- Expertise in Ruby syntax
- Database design, test-driven development
- Excited to always learn new things (e.g. React Native)
- Experience with products with points or social components preferred
- Knowledge of AWS and hungry to learn more
Bonus:
- Teach us things on memory usage in RoR. How to improve MySQL queries.
