Upside Financing enables Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) businesses to take advantage of extended payment terms for their Inventory and PO purchases. In turn, this allows Brands and Manufacturers to grow at the speed of their business instead of relying on traditional banking relationships or by resorting to dilutive equity raises.
Our founding team of CPG executives created Upside to alleviate major cash flow pain points they experienced when growing their own CPG brands. And as we’ve seen through our early traction with customers and capital partners, we’re not the only ones searching for a solution.
Prior to our formal launch (coming soon!), we’ve received $190mm in total debt offers and closed a seed round from carefully vetted and time-proven Silicon Valley VCsWithin 16 weeks, we lined up $10.6mm in equity, closed a $30mm debt facility, executed partnerships opening up a pipeline of over 10,000 customers, and perhaps most importantly - hired a knowledgeable team (30 and counting!) made up of different talents, backgrounds, and experiences.
The Opportunity
We’re excited to add a SeniorProduct Manager to our Product team. Reporting to our Product Lead, your charge will be to identify our customer needs and translate them into products and experiences that drive long term success. You are comfortable with ambiguity, work well cross-functionally, and have an owner’s mentality.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with development and management of product roadmap
- Work with engineering to plan, prioritize, and build out product backlog
- Solicit feedback from operations and sales teams to inform product enhancements and plan delivery timeline
- Understand the regulatory environment for our products to ensure compliance. Approach building products in a highly regulated and ever evolving environment as an opportunity for creative and customer-friendly solutions, rather than a threat
- Use data-driven experimentation and measurement frameworks to track product success or lack thereof
- Participate in equity and inclusion initiatives across the company

- Experience managing lending products or another highly regulated industry
- Deep understanding of software development and platform services
- Ability to champion the use of data to drive automated decisions online
- Ability to communicate a complex and evolving product vision clearly and concisely to a distributed team. Willingness to communicate using various methods depending on audience
- Propensity to thrive in a fast paced, nimble and evolving company
- Experience hiring and/or mentoring product managers
