Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Marketing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role bridges the gap between marketing and engineering, requiring a unique blend of technical prowess, creativity, and strategic thinking. The successful candidate will work closely with our marketing department to enhance our online presence, optimize our website for search engines, implement effective landing pages, and integrate sophisticated marketing tracking tools. This is an ideal position for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, possesses a strong ability to self-manage, and can make informed engineering decisions independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to define and implement SEO strategies that align with our business goals.
  • Design, develop, and optimize landing pages to improve user experience and conversion rates.
  • Integrate and configure marketing tracking tools to monitor and analyze performance metrics.
  • Provide technical expertise in the selection and implementation of marketing technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and changes in SEO, digital marketing tools, and web development technologies.
  • Ensure website compatibility across different browsers and devices.
  • Manage and execute projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website performance and functionality.
  • Work autonomously to make sound engineering decisions and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience working in collaboration with marketing departments, particularly in the areas of SEO, landing page creation, and marketing analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with full-stack web development, including but not limited to Ruby, ColdFusion, or Python/Django/Jinja.
  • Experience with implementing sites with CMSes such as WebFlow or WordPress.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to self-manage and work independently.
  • Knowledge of current SEO practices and techniques.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush) and marketing tracking technologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A pragmatic approach to software development: working code now over perfect code later, iterative implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Passion for the music industry and a deep understanding of its unique challenges and opportunities is a bonus.
