LoadUp is looking for its first in-house iOS and Android engineer!
Who are we?

- Collaborate with stakeholders to design, build, and deliver incremental improvements
- Take a leading role in defining and implementing our mobile engineering best practices
- Self-manage to an effective level, and be confident in the choices you make
- Communicate with stakeholders, management, and your fellow engineers at an excellent level
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience building in the iOS or Android ecosystem
- Recent, relevant experience in Swift or Kotlin
- Top-tier written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for helping others understand complexity
- Mastery of the iOS or Android SDKs and mobile-specific fundamentals (networking, multithreading, memory management), paired with a passion for keeping up to date with industry trends
- Include the word “donuts” in your application so we know you read this
- Experience in working with GraphQL and integrating WebViews are both a plus
- An interest in Turbo Native is a major plus!
- A commitment to high test coverage, clean and easily digestible code, and delivering excellent experiences to our customers.
Why Work for us?
Our Core Values: Passion, Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration, and Customer Centricity are the values that guide our business. We look for individuals who exhibit these core values every day and expect everyone at the company to be completely bought in on these values.
The Culture: Achievement, Honesty, Transparency, and Trust are our team cornerstones. We highly value those who exhibit these attributes and model our core values. We place a high priority on working hard, but we place an equally high priority on making sure your life isn’t only about work. We believe that top quality work is necessarily accompanied by the ability to take your hands off the keyboard and go for a walk when you need to.
The Process: We don’t do sprints, estimation meetings, or any of the complicated Agile practices. We follow the Shape Up methodology, work in six-week project cycles with discrete deliverables determined ahead of time, and expressly set time aside after each cycle to work on self-driven tasks to improve our skills, codebase, and practices.
The Team: Our team is full of engineers with varying backgrounds, and we believe a variety of perspectives is one of our strengths. Where you got your degree or if you even have one isn’t important to us. The ability to set goals, measure and communicate progress against those goals, and hit them on time with excellence is what we need.
The Opportunity: This position is our first in-house native role, so you’ll have the opportunity to craft not only the codebase but our best practices and procedures for our mobile apps. If you’ve ever dreamed of building something that completely changes an industry, this job is for you.
How to apply:
Please submit an application, including a short, one-page cover letter. Tell us about yourself, your background, what you can bring to LoadUp, and how LoadUp fits into your future.
