As the premium repricing platform for third-party sellers on Amazon and Walmart, we’ve positioned ourselves as the most dependable and robust platform out there for professional sellers and we’re now looking to expand upmarket.
We are looking for a Senior Sales Manager to help us build out an outbound sales pipeline from scratch. We currently have a customer advocacy team fielding inbound leads and we feel there is ample opportunity for an outbound sales model. We’re looking for someone to completely own this side of the business and lead the strategy and execution - someone who’s done this before in a similar stage company, in a similar industry, with a similar product offering.
What will I be doing?
- Infrastructure: You’ll build out an optimized tech stack for your work. You’ll know what you need (CRM, phone, email automation, etc), be comfortable setting this up on your own, then constantly iterate to improve your efficiency over time.
- Inbound leads: You’ll own the process of reaching out to high-quality leads who have dropped off in our funnel.
- Outbound leads: You’ll own the process of researching and establishing relationships with some of the largest brands on Amazon.
- Pipeline: You’ll own and nurture your sales pipeline. You’ll follow-up diligently after calls, loop round on those who haven’t yet closed, and handle customer objections gracefully. You’ll tightly prioritize across your pipeline.
- Playbook: You’ll focus on iterating the sales process, then building out the playbook. You’ll routinely analyze call recordings to determine what is going well and what you can improve. You’ll review prioritization of leads, iterate your sales scripts, and reconsider value props.
- Insights: You’ll be spending lots of time talking with potential customers, so you’ll have great customer insights you’ll transfer to our other teams. You’ll have strong thoughts on funnel improvements to improve conversion, potential changes to customer segments &value props, and product recommendations to match customers desires.
What we’re looking for
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience running outbound enterprise B2B demand generation and lead generation activities in a B2B SaaS sales role.
- Metrics: You’re obsessed with your numbers (open rates, close rates, customer numbers). You hate noise and focus on things which work.
- Empathy: You care about the customer's struggles and want to help them. You’ll ask good questions, listen carefully and build trust.
- Resilience: Sales isn’t easy. You have grit to close a difficult customer, and energy to improve the process if it isn’t working.
- Closing: You know when and how to turn a potential customer into a paying customer, moving quickly but carefully. You’ll know when to prioritize a lead and when to let them go.
- Copywriting: You’re a sharp copywriter to produce your own effective email &messaging material.
- End-to-end ownership: You are comfortable owning projects from noticing the problem to delivering the outcome.
- Commitment to candor: We believe in open communication and transparency. You are a clear &caring communicator, welcoming feedback.
- Dedication to excellence: You are obsessed with your role, with a commitment to compounding self-improvement.
- Positive-sum thinking: You think in terms of collaboration not competition.
- Managing yourself: You own your schedule, your habits, your happiness, your life. Your team-members help you flourish, but the eventual responsibility lies with you.
- Remote: A self-driven, motivated, and dynamic personality who is comfortable and has experience working remotely. Must be based in the USA with a quiet home office and fast internet.
- Amazon.com: You are someone who frequently uses Amazon and has an understanding of how the marketplace works. Huge plus if you have knowledge of 3rd-party selling.
