Foh&boh is searching for a QA Engineer to join our technical team. This position will be responsible for reviewing newly developed features, documenting reported bugs, and building onto our automated test suite and continuous integration infrastructure. Our current toolset includes Cypress, GitHub Actions, Sentry, and Cohere. Our app is built with React and Django.
We are a small, fully remote technology team with shared passions for learning, Open Source, and the technology communities around both. Pair programming and test-driven development are common.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the “first line of defense” for bug reports: research, document, and prioritize bug tickets for our engineering team to fix
- Confirm proper form and function for new features and other application changes in a non-production environment to ensure production remains free of defects
- Manage feature-flags to keep and open path to production without releasing features before we’re ready
- Grow and maintain our existing automated test suite
- Contribute to our existing continuous integration pipeline
- Attend grooming sessions to make test plans and identify issues before the first line of code is written
- Monitor, review, and expand our error reporting toolset to identify unreported bugs
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in software quality assurance
- Experience with error reporting tools like Sentry or similar software
- An appreciation for a thoroughly documented bug report
- Excellent communication skills
- An eagerness to learn, ask questions, and grow your skill set
