As a Project Management Lead at Knit Agency (previously known as Pixel Union Agency), you'll be responsible for leading our project management practice which includes our team of project managers and our project portfolio towards successful outcomes. Reporting to our CEO, you'll work to plan, forecast, manage, resource and effectively run our portfolio of projects, lead our project management team and inform our leadership team of resource and hiring needs proactively. As someone who has superior organizational skills, you'll own our project management team and process from start to finish, and leverage your understanding of various project management methodologies to adapt to different situations. Utilizing your expert communication skills, you’ll continuously update the client and our team on the project's status and changes as they come.
Success in this role requires being detail-oriented, having a high level of leadership and organizational skills to lead our project managers, while creating successful project baselines, and clear communication to ensure project delivery. You'll also need to be confident in juggling multiple priorities and managing teams to ensure the project is kept on track.
As a Knit Agency Project Manager Lead, you'll…
- Coordinate with Sales to understand and ensure resourcing is available for upcoming projects.
- Act as an escalation point for project managers on your team, ensuring that projects are lead and completed successfully
- Mentor, coach and train project managers to ensure career growth for your team members
- Support in the interviewing and hiring process for new project managers as needed.
- Lead a data driven project management portfolio that provides reporting necessary to the leadership team to make growth decisions for the business.
- Manage your own assigned projects (key accounts) to ensure client success and satisfaction
- Produce realistic project plans
- Coordinate all aspects of project delivery, including but not limited to managing project budgets and project schedules, as well as managing the project scope and associated change requests
- Ensure project success by driving day to day operations through sound project management principles and methodologies
- Maintain detailed status and project log reports on each project to present to our project team and client stakeholders
- Exercise independent judgment in analysis and problem solving on highly complex problems, challenging guidelines when necessary
- Provide effective briefings, workshops, and presentations, to small and large groups of stakeholders, both for our team and client stakeholders.
You’ll bring…
- PMP designation or equivalent years of experience or education
- A solid understanding of Project Management methodologies
- Ecommerce project experience, preferably Shopify Plus
- Strong writing, presentation, and analytical skills as well as supreme attention to detail
- Ability to lead the project planning process
- Adaptability and resilience in response to changing work environments and demands
- Critical thinking, creative problem solving, and a willingness to learn new tools for effective client communication
- Clear and open communication channels for clients and internal teams
- Experience using project management tools, such as Forecast.app

- An understanding of hybrid project management practices
- Domain knowledge of themes across any digital platform
- Knowledge of the Disciplined Agile toolkit
