What We're Looking For
Saltbox has an expanding suite of logistics products and services that support growing eCommerce businesses. We are looking for an entrepreneurial Product Manager to bring strong technical expertise and exceptional product sensibilities to Saltbox OS, our software platform.
As one of the earliest members of our product team, you’ll have a significant influence on the company through your leadership on product strategy and roadmap for Saltbox OS. You’ll be an authority on our users, both external and internal, and work closely with your fellow product managers to ensure our platform is designed to drive meaningful change for these users and our business. The ideal candidate has product experience in eCommerce, logistics, or supply chain platforms.
This position is remote.
Who You Are
- A product pioneer: Own and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Saltbox OS, our software platform
- Technical: Comfortable debating technical tradeoffs, reviewing the API’s of potential partners, and discussing software strategy with engineering
- Focused: Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, with relentless prioritization and maintenance of all product backlogs
- Champion of user experience: Proven experience transforming independent and complex products into a cohesive platform
- Strong build vs buy instincts: Understand the ROI of investments and build cases for building vs buying platform components
- Analytical: Validate through rapid experimentation, knowing when to be scrappy and when to build for scale
Requirements
- 4+ years of product management experience, preferably in an early-stage environment
- 2+ years of product experience on a software platform
- Proven experience leading a product from concept to launch
- Proficiency with agile methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience in eCommerce logistics or supply chain a plus
- SQL proficient
