About the role 
 
You will be wearing many hats and hold a large range of small and large responsibilities. You will hold a key role with the management team, our students/parents, and our tutors. You will work daily with the CEO/CFO/Founder, COO, and Academic Director and will be in charge of the day-to-day and the development of new initiatives across several functions: operations, recruiting,  sales/marketing, and business development.

What you will work on 
  • Developing and executing operational and customer success processes
  • Be the operational head of one of our educational divisions, online vocabulary lessons (managing a team of 5-8 teachers)  
  • Supporting our students/parents on daily basis with the help of 3 community managers, a team of virtual assistants, and the management team 
  • Meeting with potential students and parents to explain and sell our services 
  • Collaborating with the management team to improve our current service offerings as well as launch new ones
  • Collaborating with our developer on improving our current platform as well as launching new features
  • Training your team to reach higher operational and sales performance
 
Our ideal candidate 
  • You have 3+ years of experience in a past operational, HR, or customer success role
  • You have prior experience hiring and managing a team, preferably in a remote environment
  • Your have prior experience setting up new processes, documentation, and KPIs
  • You have experience in marketing or have a strong interest in learning more about the industry 
  • You are a people person and an excellent communicator with both internal and external parties
  • You thrive in a fast paced, rigorous environment 
  • You are results oriented 
  • You are a native speaker of English
  • You have strong written communication skills 
  • Experience working in the field of education preferred but not required 
  • Ability to speak/read/write in Japanese is a plus
