Bar Analytics is growing at a rapid pace and we’re looking for an Operations Manager to help us with the next stage. The right candidate will be a self-starter, responsible for all post-sales activities including, but not limited to:
- Ordering stock: we work with partners in Asia and Switzerland to manufacture our proprietary hardware. Components need to be ordered, prices negotiated, designs approved, and shipments organised.
- Fulfilling orders: once manufactured, we need to get the stock to our customers fast. Our fulfilment warehouse ships most of the stock but we have to get creative when issues arise.
- Installation support: we call our customers before installation to get them comfortable with the process. Any problems during installation need to be resolved over the phone or onsite if required.
- Post-install onboarding: once up and running, we offer demos and onboarding sessions to customers to get them up to speed as quickly as possible. Other ongoing support includes billing and user management.
- Account management: We have many customers who order regularly with agreed pricing. Proactive account management is needed for these customers to keep the stock flowing and the customer happy.
We don’t expect you to have experience in all of the above - it’s much more important to us that you are smart, quick thinking, fast at learning, proactive, and able to work autonomously with a high level of self-motivation. There is also the potential to expand the role in future, based on your interests and abilities. For example, testing new software releases, or attending trade fairs and sales meetings.
Most of the work will be remote, but there will be times when you’ll need to meet customers in person. This will typically be in London. We have achieved a lot with our small highly-motivated team, and you will be our first full-time employee! Rest assured, the whole team is fully engaged even though some of us work odd hours. As the first key hire, your role in the company going forwards could be pivotal in its growth and success.
