We are looking for a full-time .NET Engineer to build .NET web API services, deploy and manage high quality code in the Azure cloud. You will be part of a team of frontend JavaScript developers and backend engineers developing a distributed application using ASP.NET Web APIs and JavaScript based frontend applications. This role is completely remote and operates within Eastern Time Zone business hours.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Understand project requirements and translate them into high quality code
  • Participate in application code design meetings with other developers
  • Plan and design code structures based on tech stack and project requirements
  • Adhere to coding best practices and satisfy accessibility requirements
  • Thoroughly test code before committing to codebase
  • Follow development workflow and commit code to a shared codebase
  • Participate in deployment activities
  • Apply security patches and software updates as needed
  • Fix bugs efficiently using debugging tools
  • Assist in managing hosting infrastructure in Azure cloud
Knowledge and Skills

  • You are hyper-organized, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of projects to ensure they are completed to the highest levels of quality and meet deadlines
  • Must have skills -
    • Azure Cloud Hosting and deployment experience
    • Azure SQL Server
    • .NET Core 5.0
    • C#
    • ASP.NET Web APIs
    • HTML, CSS, Javascript
    • Git command line
    • Agile development methodology
  • Nice to haves -
    • Highcharts / Highmaps API
    • Aspose for .NET
    • React, Angular or Vue js
    • Web Services and REST API for services like algolia
    • Familiarity with Command-line Interfaces
    • CDN and caching services like Azure CDN
    • Creative tools like Figma or Adobe creative cloud
    • Google Analytics
    • Social media platform API or SDKs
    • GraphQL
  • You have good written and verbal communication skills
  • You are comfortable working under pressure and meeting challenging deadlines
  • You are professional and comfortable working with senior executives
  • You have experience working remotely with distributed teams
