Music Technology Lead / Solutions Architect required to work for a fast-growing Mobile Technology company based in Central London. However, due to Covid-19 this can be remote and you can be based almost anywhere!
We ideally need someone from a Solution Architecture / Software Development background who knows about the music industry and the legislation / red tape around licencing issues etc. Read on for more details…
Experience required:
·Needs to come from a software development background
·Needs to have knowledge of the music industry
o Knows the label landscape (majors, indies, aggregators)
o Knows the tech providers (eg: Content-ID technology providers)
o Knows the basics of copyright law as it applies to music
o Knows the basics of music assets delivery technologies (eg: DDEX standard)
o Knows the basics of music licensing deals
·Needs to have experience managing a team of around 7 people (work and pastoral)
·Needs to have experience managing the software development process (Jira, writing good specs, RFCs)
·Must have great communication skills so they can manage relationships with internal stakeholders (music ops team, content teams) as well as external stakeholders (technical teams at music labels, music publishers, software vendors)
Technical skills:
·Must be able to write clear and concise technical documentation (eg: RFCs, architecture designs, and API specs)
·Must have extensive experience with the AWS stack (most notably DynamoDB, RDS, and S3) and Kubernetes
·Must have experience with media content delivery to mobile applications.
·Must be very familiar with internet infrastructure and delivering digital assets globally (eg CDNs)
·Must be familiar with Golang and Python programming languages
