How is Castor supporting the Coronavirus crisis?
Castor has joined the global fight against the Coronavirus by making our research data capture system available for free for all COVID-19 research projects. Castor is supporting more than 250 COVID-19 studies across the world, including the World Health Organization’s SOLIDARITY trial.
What you’ll do
You will be in charge of the technical success of our future mobile endeavors. You have both hands-on mobile engineering experience and a background as a team leader and you are eager to switch hats when required. You’ll do this by:
Designing and building our mobile application portfolio using cutting-edge technology
Managing a team of 3 to 5 Engineers and supporting the hiring process
Collaborating with and mentoring engineers, championing their technical growth.
Directly contributing to the discovery of cures to the world's diseases
What you’ll bring
You have a wealth of knowledge in software development, being able to build new, globally scaling features. You have experience working in SaaS scale-up and you enjoy a dynamic working environment. You also have:
- Extensive practical experience with at least one of the following:
Java / Kotlin
Swift
React Native
A thorough understanding of the iOS and Android ecosystems
A proven track record of developing and scaling high-quality mobile applications with at least 1 application currently live in the app store;
Strong leadership and communication skills from coaching teams towards optimal performance;
Experience managing a growing team, bonus if it’s across different geographies
It would be good if you have:
Understanding of symmetric- and asymmetric encryption algorithms
Practical experience with Healthkit, Google Fit, or comparable.
What you'll learn:
You will lead the adoption of effective development methodologies across the organization.
You will lead the technology, delivery, innovation, and business impact of your team and of an Engineering department of 35 that we expect to grow to 90 by the end of 2022.
Reporting directly to the head of engineering, you will work closely with stakeholders from other departments and become an expert in clinical technology.
