Yelp is looking for an experienced product manager to build critical foundational platforms to power a $1B company, such as creating a Marketing Platform from the ground up, or a Product Foundations system that accelerates development and innovation of teams across the company. This is a highly cross-functional role where you’ll keep close communication across Yelp’s executive team, collaborate with other Product Managers, Engineers, Product Marketing, Marketing Operations partners and more to ultimately help create a vision for a large group of engineers.

This opportunity is fully remote and does not require you to be located in any particular region. We welcome applicants from throughout Ontario and Quebec.

We Are Looking For:

  • Define and prioritize the roadmap based on your understanding of the problem space, customer pain points and business needs.
  • Define and scale the marketing &communications systems related to user segmentation, campaign creation, and unifying the vast amounts of Yelp data so that Engineers, Product Managers &Marketers alike can deliver the right message to the right person at the right time.
  • Defining the roadmap for scaling one of our critical foundational platforms. Examples include:
  • Marketing &technology systems related to user segmentation, campaign creation, and unifying the vast amounts of Yelp data so that Engineers, Product Managers &Marketers alike can deliver the right message to the right person at the right time.
  • Foundational components that will be reused and scaled by product teams across the company to accelerate development and improve overall site and app performance.
  • Team up with Engineering, Data Scientists, Business System Analysts to hone and iterate on your ideas.
  • Partner with other product and engineering teams to identify highest leverage opportunities for the platform, as well as to evangelize and increase adoption.

What it takes to succeed:

  • Experience leading the definition and delivery of products / features / projects which have a high degree of cross-functional complexity and integration.
  • An enthusiasm for scaling a growing platform and are always thinking of ways to optimize.
  • Excited to translate internal users’ needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and an understanding of the industry landscape.
  • An experienced product manager with a passion for technology;you’re not just concerned about what we build, but how we build it.
  • Ability to communicate with engineers and executives in the same breadth.
