We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer who can build and own the infrastructure for developing, testing and deploying a static site backed by an API on multiple cloud services (AliCloud, AWS) that is built to scale

We are looking for a developer who can document their own work, communicate well with the team, is prompt, is passionate about leading dev ops and wants to have fun on a team with resources and a desire to grow.

Responsible for
  • Working with the team to build and test automated CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning from the ground up
  • Handle code deployments in all new environments
  • Recommend and help implement automation where we can automate such as
    • SSL certificate renewals
    • Staging and production deployments with containers
    • Create pipelines for running automated QA tests that our QA engineer can
      work with
  • Attending weekly sprint meetings and calls with the team
  • Owning the infrastructure, being on call for problems
  • Sharing knowledge with the team to help educate others
  • Provide clear goals for all areas of a project and develop steps to oversee their timely
    execution
  • Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery

Qualifications
  • Can use or be willing to learn Terraform to build across multiple cloud providers if
    necessary
  • Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in DevOps
  • A solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and what is necessary for scaling
    globally (including but not limited to DNS, Docker, SSL Certificates, load
    balancing/real-world scaling)
  • Can show examples of your automated infrastructure and DevOps skills in the real world
  • Have worked in a scrum/agile team and are comfortable working within a sprint cycle
  • Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Ideally, you have previously worked as a DevOps engineer at a senior level within a software engineering team
