We’re on the lookout for an iOS developer to join our team who’s eager to launch apps with polished and delightful interfaces. This would start as a 6 month contract and potentially lead to permanent employment.
About You
As the right candidate, you have an impressive knowledge and curiosity about all things iOS and enough design sense to play nicely with our designers.
You naturally read the documentation and aren't afraid to share your discoveries with teammates. You're proficient at Swift, with experience using SwiftUI, integrating to third party API's, and making the most of core Apple API's and hardware. You nerd out on the details, building complex UI's with polish.
While this role is for iOS development, we also build a lot of web products, so bonus points if you have experience developing web or mobile products using Javascript or Python.
About the role
As an iOS developer at Input, you'll initially start by gaining an understanding of our workflows and familiarize yourself with the frameworks and SDK's we use. Once tasked with a project, you'll work alongside a (mostly) agile team of designers and developers, with a product manager to assist you.
Week to week, you'll participate in (not too many) team meetings, providing insight and ideas directly to clients who are often startup founders or product managers. You'll have a high-level of autonomy and will often be the only iOS developer on a project, taking designs from Figma all the way through QA, and to the App Store.
As an intrinsically motivated individual who takes pride in doing great work and loves to learn, you'll enjoy the flexibility of being relied on for your hard-earned knowledge and experience.
About Input
As a digital product agency, we revel in the joy of the craft and take pride in making apps that people love to use. We seek coworkers who are self-directed learners with enthusiasm, a can-do attitude, intuition for problem-solving, empathy, listening skills, kindness, and respect for diverse perspectives.
Our clients are mostly startups across industries like healthcare, well-being, insurance, finance, and productivity. We're into work/life balance, side projects, flexible hours, and avoiding unnecessary meetings. Our HQ is in Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island, but we have teammates across Canada. We encourage remote and diverse candidates to apply, but are prioritizing Canadians at the moment.

To apply, please shoot us an email with your resume and we will joyfully consider it.
