Climate Catalyst is a new organisation established to secure ambitious national policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions;by working with civil society organisations driving change, businesses and investors, and new champions for climate action. Learning is one of our four core values. Our learning programme will be a central part of our work and collaboration with others and our contribution to accelerating the climate transition. 


We are seeking a Head of Network Learning and Innovation to design and implement our learning programme for all Climate Catalyst partners, as well as our core team. You will build a specific learning program for each of our campaigns, enabling Climate Catalyst and partners to design and deliver high impact campaigns and to draw lessons from previous and current experience that will maximise our collective impact. You will design delivery and intelligence sharing systems to ensure all partners benefit from learnings. You will also lead the design and delivery of our campaign monitoring and evaluation, based on best practices in this area.   


The ideal candidate will have experience of designing and delivering learning programmes with a wide range of organisations.  


 About The Role 


 The overall remit of this role is to:  

  • Design our campaign learning and innovation strategy—informed by guidance from Climate Catalyst staff but shaped significantly by the needs of our partners ranging from impact evaluation to measuring partner engagement 
  • Lead delivery of a strategy that is recognised by our partners and staff as providing significant value-add and strengthening our campaigns and impact. 
  • Lead the design and delivery of our campaign impact evaluation programme. 

  • What You Will Do
     


    Learning and innovation 

    • Create the Climate Catalyst Learning + Innovation Strategy and relevant frameworks—and develop systems and processes for launching and maintaining it 
    • Design learning events for a variety of audiences and scales—ranging from our close campaigning and re-granting partners, to larger groups that include stakeholders across private sector, policy makers, funders, civil society, trade unions, and others 
    • Work with the National Partnerships Team to create regional specific learning metrics, and serve as capacity building support for re-granted organizations at times 
    • Provide analysis of data and learning;creating recommendations and suggestions on most and least effective tactics 

    Impact Evaluation 

    • Work closely with the campaigns team to ensure that impact measurement and meaningful feedback loops are built into strategies from the start, and serve as the learning champion on these multi-disciplinary teams  
    • Support in creation of reports and other story telling materials that communicate our impact through clear and compelling data 
    • Work with the communications team to identify and deploy monitoring and assessment tools across digital platforms, for key content 
    • Play key role in ensuring alignment between external network and internal development and learning 

    What You Would Bring
     

    • Extensive knowledge of the latest thinking, tools, and trends in the learning and innovation space  
    • Experience in monitoring and evaluation practices, processes, and reporting 
    • Applied experience with both quantitative and qualitative measurement tools 
    • Experience, comfort with, and preference for working across various regions and cultures 
    • Understanding of the policy advocacy space—and policy impact measurement (bonus but not required)
