About The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, analytical Growth Marketer to join the team at Whimsical. In this role, you’ll get to see our customer acquisition strategies through from strategy to execution. While you’ll be responsible for planning and optimizing our acquisition at a strategic level, you’ll also be able to get down in the details and implement when needed (especially when it comes to affiliate programs and email marketing).


Whimsical is right now a small team of ~25 people. You will be the second member on the growth team and the first team member focused solely on acquisition. 


You will be reporting to our Head of Growth, Hillary Miller, and collaborating closely with agencies and contractors to help you implement 


Your responsibilities will include:
  • Own the execution of our experiments &strategies across SEO, performance marketing, affiliate, and lifecycle email campaigns.
  • Working at the intersection of the sales and self-serve PLG growth to define our key workflows and communication touchpoints for different customer segments. 
  • Project management across agencies, contractors, vendors, and internal collaborators to implement campaigns, test new channels, and create content.

  • Understand the core growth loops of our product
  • Formulate hypotheses for refining our paid media, email, affiliate, and SEO channels 

Requirements

We’re looking for someone with a proven track record as a growth marketer in rapidly growing SaaS companies.

  • You have a deep understanding of product-led growth
  • 3-5 years of experience working in growth or product marketing 
  • Comfortable with the fast-paced, ambiguous environment of a start-up
  • Based in North America, EU, UK, Norway, or Canada
  • Experience working in paid search platforms, marketing automation tools (Braze, Iterable, Customer.io), and content management systems
  • *Bonus Points*If you’ve completed a Reforge growth track program
