Well, hello! We’re Help Scout.
We make support software that empowers more than 12,000 businesses to support their customers in the most human, helpful way. We're a remote company with 150+ employees in over 80 cities around the world, and we've been remote-first from day one. We believe that when teams represent different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, magic happens. The result is better products and a culture that enables everyone to bring their authentic selves to work.
We’re looking for a growth marketer who can take the lead on setting and executing on growth marketing strategies that are designed to attract more folks to Help Scout. If you’re interested in taking an agile approach to testing growth experiments and can generate innovative ideas to increase revenue, we would like to meet you.

- Work across teams like product, design, and sales to launch and iterate on growth strategies to support Help Scout’s growth goals.
- Prepare and present recommendations, reports, and findings from experimental data all the way up to the executive level.
- Conceive and execute on a wide range of campaigns to drive engagement and adoption.
- Own your data and find new opportunities. You’ll work with our operations and analytics team to analyze, monitor, and uncover areas for improvement.
About You
- To be fully transparent, we’re leaving the requirements for this role really general because what we’re most interested in is someone who:
- Can consistently bring great growth ideas to the table.
- Can project manage those ideas, getting the right teams involved to execute on them.
- Has a strong understanding of growth levers and loops and is able to prioritize multiple initiatives based on potential impact.
- Is an outstanding communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Ideally, you have:
- 3+ years experience in a marketing role where you were responsible for acquisition campaigns and revenue-generating projects.
- Experience leading projects where multiple teams were involved (e.g., marketing, sales, product, design, and customer support).
You might also have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Managing email campaigns — such as newsletters, nurturing sequences, and onboarding sequences — and maintaining a company-wide email calendar.
- Working on technical growth projects like setting up automated lead sequences, running A/B tests with a CRO tool, and conducting deep data analysis in tools like Looker and Heap.
- Supporting ABM campaigns for an outbound sales team, automating lead identification, selecting tools, and developing processes to make cold outreach more effective.
- Identifying brand awareness opportunities, such as establishing influencer marketing partnerships, finding co-marketing opportunities, or running direct-purchase ads on newsletters and podcasts.
We’re interested in chatting with individuals who have both generalist (experience in lots of different subject-matter areas) and specialist (deep experience in one subject-matter area) experience. We do not expect candidates to have deep subject-matter expertise in all of the areas above. Additionally, this is not an exhaustive list, so if you have experience in a growth role running types of campaigns we failed to mention above, please don’t hesitate to apply!
