Regular tasks will include building and executing ETL processes for large data sets and consolidating data sources into a reliable unified structure. Implementing automation tools to enhance this process is a key objective. Additionally, we’ll expect collaboration on new data structure, optimization, maintenance, security, and sharing.

The tangible requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of full-time development experience writing production quality code. • Strong Python skills. • Strong data engineering skills in relational database environs including MySQL, SQL, PostgreSQL. • Significant experience working with AWS, specifically RDS, EC2, IAM, KMS, S3, Lambda, and security tools such as VPC. • Some experience with analytical tools like R, or visualization programs such as PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik. DAX is great too. • Experience with RESTful APIs. • Some front-end design experience is a plus!

The intangible requirements:

• An eye for detail and commitment to MDM best practices. Data stewardship is our life and it’s critical our team share these values. • A collaborative spirit. We’re a small team but committed to building the best product possible. We believe a team approach to product development &planning is vital to that end. • An independent spirit. We’re a small team (déjà vu) but we move quickly. We want team members who can balance open collaboration with individual accountability and self-direction. Sometimes you just need to grind. • A person who loves taking nasty, flawed data, and turning it into something beautiful. • Upwardly mobile. We’re growing fast and want to be around other growth-minded people who can contribute to building the future.
