Bitcoin Depot is seeking a Director of IT that will provide management and oversight of the company’s IT development initiatives and infrastructure. In this role you will provide technical leadership to the IT team while also collaborating with senior leadership in order to meet the company’s objectives. We are looking for a unique and multi-faceted Director with a broad range of experience in solutions architecture, software development, and processing operations management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for success and a proven record of successful systems implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage software development tasks associated with developing, designing or debugging software applications, operating systems, and databases. Build enhancements within existing software architecture with a focus on future improvements of architecture
  • Direct strategic development, management and deployment of software development and QA resources whether internal, outsourced domestic or offshore
  • Leads and provides day-to-day management of the DevOps and SiteOps functions inclusive of infrastructure, software, hardware, networks, and security 
  • Leads the selection, implementation and production operation of the business’s software applications and services
  • Ensures consistency and maintainability of infrastructure environments through the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of well documented standards and procedures for the implementation of technical solutions
  • Identify, evaluate and select new and emerging technologies that can be assimilated within the company and significantly improve competitiveness
  • Forecast and manage corporate and departmental IT budgets

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field
  • 5 years of hands on software development experience plus 7 years of management of softwarware development teams 
  • 3 years DevOps or IT Ops experience
  • Full stack experience work with databases, servers, systems engineering, and business and client analysis
  • Expertise in Java/JVM software tools/technologies, common back-end languages (perl, Python, PHP, etc.), mobile development (Swift, C#) and databases (MySQL, SQLServer, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.) AWS Infrastructure.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong team building skills and ability to motivate others
  • Team player mindset and willingness to collaborate
  • Willing to take responsibility and act independently
