Your Profile

  • Proactive, team-player, open-minded personality with a passion for open source, new technologies and agile software development.
  • 3+ years of experience as software developer with JVM-based languages as Java, Kotlin, Scala or Clojure.
  • Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.
  • Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Docker &Kubernetes experience.
  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipeline and their automation and optimization.
  • Fluent Spanish and English skills.
  • You are based in Spain.

Your Challenge

  • Engage with the development team in order to improve the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, refinement and end of life (sundown).
  • Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, capacity planning and launch reviews.
  • Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.
  • Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
  • Practice sustainable incident response.
  • Create and maintain documentation related with disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Manage the postmortems process.
