Contract Remote Java / React Developer (US Based Citizen/Green Card)

The Java/React Developer will serve as part of a development team supporting both established projects and creating from the ground up. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader and team player who is adept at both frontend and backend web development. They are passionate about technology and committed to lifelong learning, possessing the ability to apply their technical knowledge, skills and experience to solve complex/real-world problems.

Qualifications

Required

  • US Citizen or permanent resident living in the US, Work 100% Remote from US Home Office

  • This is a public trust position and will require basic background screening

  • 3+ years of development experience

  • Java (Dropwizard, JPA)

  • Javascript/HTML (React)

  • Demonstrable versatility in multiple front-end and back-end technologies

  • Deep experience in building RESTful web services and backend web platforms

  • Ability to solve complex problems with elegant and maintainable solutions using modern Javascript and Java frameworks

Nice to haves

  • AWS (SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Cloudwatch, Firehose, Glue, S3, Lambda)

  • DevOps (Jenkins, Terraform, Packer)

  • 5+ years of experience with hands-on experience in full-stack development

  • Participation on an agile / scrum software delivery team

  • A strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns

  • Prior technical consulting experience working with large enterprise clients
