WorkNomads is looking for ingenious nomads who want to help shaping tomorrow’s cloud infrastructure. Our Software Engineering team will be designing distinctive multi-cloud environments with a profound social impact and to be applied by major enterprises. We are recruiting several talented Cloud Architects to join our team, working remotely from the WorkNomads’ homebase in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Responsibilities
- Gather and synthesize clients’ business and technical requirements
- Craft effective architecture solutions, cost models, and delivery plans for client proposals
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Scrum Masters and DevOps engineers to build the high-level design and deliver multi-cloud and containerized solutions
- Enable prototype testing, troubleshooting and design validation &participate in team investigations
- Create and maintain required documentation including specifications, review and analyze new technologies and summarize results for presentation to technical and non-technical audiences
- Acts as the voice of the client by driving new feedback
- Lead resiliency reviews and technical optimization to ensure that the environments and applications are well-architected
- Help to onboard new projects for Delivery and Support units, spreading the expertise, and DevOps culture across the organization
Required skills / Qualifications:
- Masters’Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years’ experience on a similar role
- Understanding of public cloud platform architectures, and hybrid cloud architectures and concepts(focus MS Azure and AWS)
- Understanding of cloud technology trends, containerized runtime environments (e.g., OpenShift, K8S) and microservice application architectures
- Deep understanding of product architecture, components, and integration points
- Experience with complex system design and deployment, inclusive of: runtime ecosystems, storage systems, and networking
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and with building automation
- Understanding of all layers of a technology solution, from the physical layer to the application layer
- Familiarity of large scale infrastructure and customer migration projects
- Deeply familiar and experienced with monitoring and gathering metrics platforms (infrastructure, APM)
- Understanding of networking technologies, including but not limited to Cisco, Fortigate, Palo Alto,…WAN, LAN
