The Hotjar team consists of 220+ team members across Europe, Africa, and the Americas in 35+ countries. In order to support the Hotjar team, we’re growing our Business Operations team with a focus on implementing processes, tools, and events that scale as Hotjar grows. In order to accomplish this, we’re in need of an experienced leader that is excited about scaling operational processes and leading a team while also being comfortable performing administrative tasks. Events for the team range from social gatherings that reinforce our remote culture to in-person meetups involving 10% - 100% of our company. Processes will span everything from IT onboarding and support to procurement to how teams should plan their own meetups. These processes emphasize simplicity, scalability, and support of our team. The successful candidate will be highly pragmatic, efficient with their time, and customer-centric.


You will:

  • Lead and develop a team of operations coordinators and specialists while also scaling operational processes, performing administrative tasks, and planning team events.

  • Coach, mentor, and further develop members of your team. Conduct recurring 1:1s with all team members with a focus on supporting, developing, and helping unblock them.

  • Be open and empathetic with continuous feedback to your team, and conduct regular performance reviews

  • Establish and iterate on company-wide processes such as knowledge management, procurement, IT support, and team events

  • Develop and scale operations across the company in collaboration with stakeholders

  • Foster connections across our team helping to prepare and run inclusive team and company activities

Requirements

  • Experience leading and developing a team

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicting requirements

  • Experience drafting, implementing, and managing a wide range of processes and tasks in a distributed environment

  • Willingness to do detailed and administrative tasks

  • Focus on providing support for internal customers

  • Desire to work in a respectful, transparent, and collaborative work environment, following Hotjar’s company values, culture, and ways of working.

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this role is €75,000 to €105,000 annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
