The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented editor with a few years of experience, who is excited to help grow an already successful blog. Note that we find that it's helpful if you have experience writing/editing in the WordPress, SaaS and/or online business space.
As our Blog Content Editor, you’ll help us create and maintain high quality content, work on the blog strategy (e.g. what should we publish to drive traffic, increase revenue, attract links, etc) and identify ideas to help us improve our blog in general.
Who we are and what we want to accomplish
We have a successful blog full of helpful WordPress related content including reviews, product comparisons, lists, but we believe our blog can be so much more.
It currently brings in a significant amount of affiliate revenue with a small but talented content team. We also use the blog to drive traffic to our own products. Our aim is for our blog to be one of the top blogs in the WordPress space so we are building out an A-team to help us get there and that's where you come in!
You'll work directly with a small team of freelance writers, a technical editor, SEO specialist and a designer.
What you'll do
- Edit and improve new and existing content
- Manage the editorial calendar
- Manage a small team of freelance writers
- Create content outlines for writers, edit and format submitted content to meet quality standards, and give writers feedback to help them improve their craft
- Help recruit and onboard new writers
- Guard the quality of our blog
- Plan new topics for the blog
Who we are looking for
You started as a writer but transitioned into an editorial position (or do both), so you understand what it takes to make a blog article excellent from both sides.
You have at least 2 years of editorial and writing experience, preferably in SaaS, ecommerce or a related space, and have familiarity with and interest in WordPress and related topics. Ideally, you’ve built and/or managed a WordPress site before and understand the challenge of identifying the best tools and plugins.
You are an excellent writer but also have a sharp editor’s eye (you can spot a typo from a mile away!) who appreciates high-quality content, process and data-driven decisions. Though you have a way with words, and have a knack for making any article more appealing, engaging and informative, you also geek out on data and use it to better inform your editorial strategy and outrank our competitors.
You like to combine hands-on editing with thinking about the bigger picture (i.e. business goals). You are good at project management, i.e. you can maintain communication with multiple authors and manage an editorial calendar based on their estimates.
You have a strong foundational understanding of SEO and experience with SEO/keyword research tools so you can hit the ground running as soon as you start (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Clearscope, etc) You thrive working in an autonomous, remote work environment.
Your English communication skills, both in speaking and writing, are native or near-native.
Bonus points if you have experience with technical content and know how to check a changelog, for example.
Some practical things
We are ideally looking for someone full-time but will consider part-time applicants (with a 20 hour a week minimum commitment).
You can live anywhere in the world but we ask that at least a few hours of your working day overlap with the 9am-5pm CET (Central European Time) workday so you can interact with the rest of the team. Our core working hours are between 10am-2pm CET.

Massive autonomy. No one likes to be micro-managed, and we don't like to micro-manage anyone (If you need that kind of hand holding and direction, we're not going to be your cup of tea!) We hire people who are excited to own their work and we look to you to tell us the big levers in your role that'll make the most impact.
Huge growth and learning opportunity. Excited to work on big picture strategy and drive it through to completion? You'll have direct access to the CEO, who has a strong background in SEO, and will encourage you to test and validate ideas and ensure you have all the help and resources you need to excel in your role!
We've been in business since 2013, and profitable since day 1. We are carving our own path in the WordPress world - no investor money, nor financial obligations to anyone but ourselves. If you're pumped to join a team where your work actually matters and you can see the results of your hard earned successes, we can't wait to hear from you!
