About You
You’re a top-notch backend developer with a mix of experience. You work hard and smart and you’re not afraid to graft. You need to be bright, have excellent communication skills (in English) and be able to work under pressure while still maintaining a positive attitude to everyone around you.
We're a remote-first organisation, so will accept applications from anywhere. However please note that we will favour applications that are +/- 3 hours from GMT. If you're in a different timezone and willing to work to these hours, that's also fine.
You will be:
- Writing, testing and deploying new features
- Maintaining the current applications
- Contributing to code reviews
- Attending standups
- Evaluating new back end technologies &keeping our stack up to date
Essential skills and experience:
- Elixir or Ruby Experience (4+ years)
- Git
- REST
- AWS
- English Speaker
- Critical thinking
- Problem-solving
Bonus points for:
- Able to work full stack (Javascript/Angular/Flutter)
- Experience building Insurtech or Fintech products
- Docker
- IoT
- Ruby on Rails
- Microservices
- Machine Learning
- Heroku
