At GitLab, our team of technical writers is responsible for ensuring that the documentation for all of our products is clear, correct, comprehensive, and easy to use. The Technical Writing team manages the docs.gitlab.com site and its content, processes and tooling. As a Fullstack Engineer on the Technical Writing team, you are central to the effective functioning of docs.gitlab.com.

It’s an exciting time to join the Tech Writing team as an Engineer –we are re-platforming the docs site, and we need to keep the site stable and efficient while re-platforming. Partnering with the other Senior Engineer in the team, you have the opportunity to help modernize and improve the platform that is of utmost importance to people using GitLab. Youll be at the leading edge of DevOps while contributing to one of the worlds largest open-source projects and engaging with our wider community.

Experience you will bring

  • Strong Go experience.
  • Experience working with Vue, React or Angular (we use Vue here).
  • Strong demonstrated experience working independently
  • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments like tech startups
  • Genuine interest in documentation
