What you will be doing:
- Participate in requirements gathering, design reviews, test plan development, test cases execution, and defect tracking
- Design, formulate, and optimize application test strategy, test scenarios, and test cases based on templates, agreed upon processes using a variety of sources ranging from well documented specifications to loosely defined requirements
- Implement, evaluate, and document the developed test cases and scenarios
- Agile methodology experience in creating epic stories, user stories, tasks, project plan and estimates
- Review requirements and design documents with developers and quality assurance manager to confirm expected functionality with technical and business needs
- Determine test environment and test data requirements
- Must be able to communicate with leads regarding project readiness, status and potential risks
- Document, quantify, and elevate risks as appropriate
- Tracks and coordinates defect resolution and retesting, quantifying and mitigating risk accordingly
- Researching problems, testing, training and documenting best practices
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Over five (5) years of experience as a quality assurance analyst or tester
- Strong customer and business focus
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with user-centered design and usability testing
- Experience with Jira
- Experience using iterative development methodologies, specifically SCRUM
- Experience working hands on with databases –ability to write queries
- Someone who is energetic and passionate about their work, extremely positive and solution driven
- Someone who has worked on large teams, on projects that have different business owners
- Experience in defining test strategy/approach, test cases
- Strong experience in the testing phase with business personnel, developers and management
- Experience developing testing artifacts, such as test plans and test cases
- Experience working in multiple Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)
Iteris anticipates paying between $75,000 and $84,000 for this role. However, actual pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
