About the Role
Our client, a video production company called Make A Scene Media, is seeking a mid-level motion graphic designer for a brief project. The task involves creating an artistic and slightly metaphorical 2-3 minute explainer video for their small business client, detailing a process to new clients. The project offers potential follow-up work, and the designer can work remotely, completing the job over a day or two. The client is targeting a style that is less corporate, encouraging the use of figures and metaphors instead of bland corporate visuals. The client is currently accepting offers for this project.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the client to understand the process or concept that needs to be explained in the video.
- Conceptualize and design engaging and visually appealing motion graphics, utilizing artistic elements, figures, and metaphors.
- Animate the motion graphics to create a cohesive and compelling 2-3 minute explainer video.
- Incorporate any necessary text elements, narration, or sound effects to enhance the video’s clarity and impact.
Requirements
- Mid-level experience as a motion graphic designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing artistic and creative explainer videos or similar projects.
- Proficiency in motion graphics software such as After Effects, Cinema 4D, or similar tools.
- Strong skills in animation principles and techniques.
- Ability to conceptualize and execute visually appealing and engaging motion graphics that effectively communicate complex ideas or processes.
- Knowledge of color theory, typography, and design principles.
