How youll have an impact at Paulas Choice:
The IT Data Analytics Manager has a critical role in enabling data use across channels and geographies. The role will partner with Paula’s Choice IT and Business leadership to develop and maintain a vision for integrated data for analytical uses including data warehousing, operational reporting, dashboards, and advanced uses including machine learning and artificial intelligence. Additionally, this role will ensure that data and analytical systems are secure, compliant, and highly available. Lastly, they will balance new development with production support and service delivery for Paulas Choices users.
This new role will be critical in establishing world class policies and procedures to support data-driven decision making and maximize the value of data through innovative use cases and new technologies.

As a IT Data Analytics Manager, a typical day might include a mix of the following:
- Partner with the CIO and IT Leadership Team to define global data strategy, architecture, and processes.
- Plan for and oversee the ingestion of data from enterprise business applications and other internal and external sources into an integrated data lake and data warehouse.
- Partner with distributed business analytics team to manage requirements and develop, implement, and support semantic models that provide a unified view of data across applications, geographies, and sales channels.
- Guide the development team to add new data sources and enhance analytical environments using the agile methodology and following best practices from the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure processes are in place and effective for monitoring of all production jobs, responding to service requests, and resolving incidents and problems within SLAs, providing hands-on support and troubleshooting as required.
- Manage project deliverables and responsibilities, vendor management, contract negotiation, budgets, and be the subject matter expert on analytics systems.
- Working with the PC Security Architect and Prestige Central IT team, ensure analytics systems meet all requirements for data security, data governance, and master data management. (GDPR, CCPA, PII, PCI, etc.)
- Oversee “health of data analytics”KPI’s such as service lead time and analytics platform adoption
- Evaluate, select, and implement innovative technologies that offer business value
- Ensure Data Management teamwork is aligned with business priorities
- Provide all managerial functions for the Data Engineering team including hiring, goal-setting, performance management, learning and development, and recognition
- Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager
The Details:
- Location: Remote, U.S. based role
- Hours: Typical PST business hours with some flexibility required
- Physical requirements: Ability to handle both sitting and screen time for long periods of time
- Travel requirements: Up to 10%, domestic only
What youll bring to the table:
Experience:
- 7+ years of Data Analytics / Data Warehousing experience including data modeling (Dimensional Data, and Star Schemas), data engineering, and ETL / ELT architectures
- 4+ years in a leadership role
- 5+ years of experience in e-commerce (cosmetics background is preferable but not required)
- 5+ years of experience with large-scale e-commerce applications and marketing platforms
- 5+ years of experience with agile methodologies.
- Experience with Databricks
Skills:
- Superior communication skills with external &internal business partners and development teams
- Ability to be self-motivated and work with urgency to mitigate blockers. May need to involve key partners such as: customer service team, digital marketing, creative and brand teams
- Comfortable working in a team-oriented, entrepreneurial environment
- Fast learner, confident communicator, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment (resourceful, hands-on, able to sense urgency)
- Demonstrated leadership skills, passion, ability to learn and adapt, and team skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills for data-driven decision making
- Proven track record of attracting, hiring, motivating and develop the best quality-minded individuals
Knowledge:
- Clear understanding of Project Management Methodologies Agile, Scrum, Adaptive
- Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics including AI architectures
- Proven track record of maturing and streamlining analytics systems and processes

Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:
$160,000 –$180,000 USD/annually
Paulas Choice Skincare determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate’s region/town/cost of living.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan.
