The Role
As the Engineering Manager for our Professional Services: Optimize team, you will lead a team of Software Engineers, collaborating closely with our client-facing Product Operations team. Youll be responsible for the overall impact of the team, ensuring that theyre implementing high quality, impactful system improvements in pursuit of increasing margins and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead from the front by involving yourself in technical operations and implementations.
- Manage and mentor your team members to increase the teams capabilities.
- Influence strategy across multiple clients and systems.
- Uncover and eliminate roadblocks to drive your team’s delivery.
- Partner with product engineering and client account management to strike a balance between immediate impact and long-term return on investment.
- Recruit, interview, and hire high quality talent for your team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management of full-stack applications.
- Significant experience developing applications in team environments.
- Able to research and synthesize new technologies (frameworks, libraries, techniques) and explain and evangelize them to more junior engineers.
- Able to understand and influence system architecture to meet application needs.
- One or more of the following focused experiences
- Frontend experience using React for front-end development.
- Backend experience using Python web frameworks (Flask, Django, etc.)
- Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, etc.)Compensation &Benefits

- Compensation Breakdown
- Base: $140k
- Target Cash Bonus: $40k
- Equity*: $12k-29k
- Total Comp: $192k –$209k = $180k Max Cash + ($12k-29k Equity)
- *Equity value based on $200M-$500M valuation range, and represents 1 year of vesting.
- Total equity grants are on a 4-year vesting schedule with a 1-year cliff.
