Role summary

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Social Media Manager to lead strategy and management of our social media channels across the Scribd Inc house of brands, including Everand and Scribd. If you are looking to make an impact at a leading tech company on a mission to spark human curiosity, read on.

As the Senior Social Media Manager, you will play a key role in crafting and executing our social strategy. You will be at the heart of creating exciting, engaging and shareable social campaigns that increase brand awareness and reach. You will partner closely across brand, content and product to support product launches, authors, new releases, brand campaigns, key moments, and more. The ideal candidate is tapped into social trends, the speed of culture and has a deep understanding of the power of storytelling.Responsibilities

  • Support developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategy, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and audience targets, on the B2B and B2C sides of our business. Brainstorm new, unique ideas and direction for social content and marketing campaigns.
  • Manage social media calendar &ensure alignment across team and consistency in GTM strategies. Develop GTM calendars for all key brand activations, product launches, author launches, new releases and other business needs.
  • Concept, develop, produce and edit engaging content that resonates with our audiences, staying ahead of trends and features to ensure relevancy. Able to create content individually, source and brief other creators for content, and partner with our internal creative team.
  • Oversee day-to-day management of all channels including content scheduling, monitoring, engagement.
  • Implement strategies to engage with and grow our community, ensuring an integrated approach across channels. Oversee community manager, supporting them in responding to comments, collaborating with creators, participating in relevant trends
  • Partner with paid teams on influencer management and key partnership ideation.
  • Provide regular reports on performance across social platforms and campaigns, building out insights and learnings to be shared across the organization. Develop a framework for measurement that allows for diagnostic metrics and working towards higher level KPIsRequirements
    • 5+ years of experience successfully managing social media for an established brand or at a social-first agency
    • A passion for books, content and the written / spoken word in culture
    • Expert knowledge of consumer-focused entertainment-based platforms –Instagram, TikTok, YouTube –and more industry-focused platforms –LinkedIn, Facebook,X.
    • Proven knowledge of third party social media platforms such as Sprout Social, Planoly, Later etc
    • Content creation experience such as video creation and editing, photo editing, etc for use on social
    • Connected to creators and experienced in working with influencers across tiers and audience sizes
    • Experience working cross functionally across teams in a fast-moving environment
    • Able to manage contributors and 1-2 directs across channels

      At Scribd, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. San Francisco is our highest geographic market in the United States. In the state of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $90,500 [minimum salary in our lowest geographic market within California] to $146,250 [maximum salary in our highest geographic market within California].

      In the United States, outside of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $74,500 [minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California] to $139,250 [maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California].

      In Canada, the reasonably expected salary range is between $93,000 CAD[minimum salary in our lowest geographic market] to $138,000 CAD[maximum salary in our highest geographic market].

The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
