ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Sr. Product Owner is responsible for driving IDIQ product delivery. They work closely with product and enterprise leaders to transform the strategic roadmap into a well-defined and prioritized backlog. In addition to the daily management of the development team, they will work with cross-functional stakeholders on all aspects of product delivery ensuring an amazing user experience in every interaction.

  • Lead discovery and framing exercises to translate high-level objectives into deliverable outcomes
  • Collaborate with the product leadership team to influence strategic direction
  • Maintain a prioritized product backlog for all assigned projects based on business value
  • Lead discovery for assigned objectives and gain stakeholder buy-in prior to beginning project execution
  • Define and measure KPI's across several experience and financial categories
  • Assist product leadership and other stakeholders in defining and executing feature launch and go-to-market plans
  • Execute feature demonstrations for stakeholders prior to final delivery and acceptance
  • Ensure stakeholders are aware of and prepared to use and support features delivered by you and your team
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
  • Collaborate with engineering resources based both locally and offshore, participate in meetings that align with offshore hours (8-10pm or 6-8 am) as needed to ensure delivery of assigned objectives

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:

  • 5-10 years of experience managing projects in an Agile environment

  • A strong passion for great user experience and meeting user needs

  • Strong analytical skills to make fact-based decisions and to document the evidence that led to those decisions

  • Strong time management skills and project management skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage different projects and priorities simultaneously

  • Ability to function and lead in a team environment

  • Experience in product ownership, project management in consumer facing web applications

  • Experience with process mapping and design

  • Experience using various methods to guide discovery of a given problem (interview guides, affinity diagrams, journey maps, etc..)

  • Experience leading discovery and framing exercises

  • Experience leading go-to-market efforts

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:

  • Ownership &Drive- ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong follow-through and a focus on owning the outcome

  • Influential and Persuasive - seen as a trusted advisor

  • Solid understanding of users, the marketplace, competition and of future trends for the consumer credit, finance or identity theft

  • Proven ability to clearly define a set of requirements that pinpoint business challenges and identify technical and business changes required to address them.

  • Unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and driving results for yourself and your team members and stakeholders

  • Experience or familiarity with the topics of information security and data privacy

  • Certifications from at least one of the following:

  • Scrum Alliance (CSPO/A-CSPO/PSPO)

  • Scaled Agile (Certified SAFe Product Owner/Manager)

POSITION DETAILS:

This is a full-time position, salaried, exempt (40+ hours/week), plus a Management by Objective (MBO) Bonus plan.
