Are you a full stack developer with a Microsoft .NET background who is comfortable working on front-end and back-end code?

If that’s you, we want to hear from you!

Our agency is a fun but fast-paced environment, where you will need to get things done quickly and efficiently to a high standard of quality. In return, we offer great benefits, a genuinely collaborative working environment and fantastic people to work with. Our silver Investors in People Award recognises that we invest in our most valuable commodity, our people. Our development team is friendly and supportive where we collaboratively share and learn from each other to produce high-quality solutions for our clients. At Crafted we go together.

Once you join Crafted you will work on a variety of exciting projects for our amazing clients, across a wide range of sectors from travel and leisure (Eurotunnel), commercial property (Workspace) to prestige brands (Burgess). Take a look at our website for more details of other clients that we work with. You will be comfortable working on your own as the single developer on small to medium projects and retainer work, as well as enjoy working on larger projects with other members of the development team.

We are seeking someone who is flexible, adaptable, and enjoys working on and learning different frameworks, technologies, and platforms. At Crafted we deliver. We support you through on-the-job training and professional development, which is discussed with your line manager at regular check-in meetings. We work with you to identify areas where external training would be beneficial and are open to suggestions to investigate new technologies that will help our clients.

The work you do at Crafted will mean specialising in building and supporting public facing CMS-driven websites. As part of the team, you will make sure the design and user interface have been implemented to our high standards and the end product is robust, scalable, secure, SEO friendly, and standards compliant. At Crafted we go beyond.

There will be the opportunity to work on a variety of other projects including ecommerce websites, membership-based websites, integrations, cross platform mobile applications, web applications, and bespoke internal and external systems.

We are seeking candidates who are experienced in .NET C#  working on public facing responsive websites rather than exclusively internal applications or software products.

As a full stack developer, you will not be required to develop the full standalone front-end templates, components and assets (HTML, CSS and JavaScript), although if you have the relevant experience there will be opportunities if wanted. However, you will still require excellent frontend knowledge to be able to modify and implement them, including hands-on HTML, CSS and SASS skills.

We are looking for someone with experience developing using CMS platforms, ideally using Kentico or Umbraco but any CMS platform experience is beneficial, such as Sitecore, SiteFinity, Episerver and/or any headless CMS platforms. Any knowledge of implementing API development with Web API, experience of Swagger (Open API), GraphQL and Azure API Management would be an advantage.

Experience in using MS Azure DevOps for source code and backlog management would also be beneficial.

Crafted’s office is in Ipswich, a short walk from the station and easily commutable from the surrounding area and beyond, including Cambridge and London. We have recently relocated to a large modern office that has been completely refitted to our specification. It has the perfect working, meeting, and recreation space, we are very proud of it! We also offer part or full remote working.

If Crafted sounds like the type of environment you like to work in, have a look at the full job description to get more detail, see what experience we are looking for, and our values as a business.
