Goodery - remote jobs

A startup on a missionWe’re on a mission to design a new way of living that cares for people and the planet. The reality is: Our planet is sick… We believe that business is the most effective vehicle to create rapid, positive change. We’ve set our sights on reinventing groceries to address the challenges posed by COVID-19 and the climate crisis. In just 12 weeks we’ve scaled to over £40k MRR and have been valued by a third-party at £3.3M. We are looking for a CTO to help us build a robust scalable technology platform to grow a global, world-changing company. Our vision for a better futureThe way we grow, transport and consume food produces greenhouse gases and masses of food and plastic waste. Major grocery stores put pressure on local businesses and are generally unpleasant places to be. We see a vision for using groceries as a vehicle to create a beter, more sustainable future for people and the planet to live together in harmony. What is Goodery?Goodery is a new kind of online grocery store that delivers organic food and everyday essentials using a crowdsourced, Hyperlocal, platform approach. Instead of holding stock, we pick up goods locally from ethical, independent businesses. We do this just in time so that we can deliver a curated box of fresh groceries to conscious consumers. We do this all with net zero emissions (using electric vehicles and planting trees). We are working to eradicate all kinds of waste along the way: plastic, food and energy. Our startup storyWe started up in Norwich, Norfolk as a response to the needs of our community when The Good Host began supporting NHS staff during COVID-19. We’ve got experience scaling tech startups in Silicon Valley, building large scale renewable energy systems and managing zero emissions transport networks. We ran a single design sprint and reached £1K weekly recurring revenue within 14 days. We’ve organically grown a world-class team of entrepreneurs, climate scientists, sustainable developers, software engineers, food growers and creatives. We’ve spent less than £50k since incorporating on May 11. We’re currently raising £200k through an initial seed round, expected to close in early Q4.Our values Customer, customer, customer Be you Be humble, patient and kind Be lean, iterative and experiment-driven Take care of your body, mind and soul Treat other with care, compassion and love Build trust through open, honest and clear communication
