Equal Experts - remote jobs

Who we are Equal Experts is an award-winning agile consultancy, specialising in simple software solutions for big business challenges. We use highly productive working methods to deliver innovative software for a wide range of public and private-sector clients. Our associates are hugely experienced, which means that we can give our clients high-performing teams to deliver great results and lasting change within their organisation. The EE network has around 500 associates and 150 permanent staff, and is growing fast. Why it’s a great place to work We have an award-winning working culture. In fact, we came third in a high-profile 2017 report ‘Leadership and Culture at Work: the CMI/Glassdoor Top 20’. We’re one of Europe’s fastest-growing companies. We were the 762nd fast-growing company across 31 European countries, according to a 2018 list published by the Financial Times. We have great clients. EE will find you great clients and teams to work with, and we have clients across the globe. We work with clients big and small, new or old, ranging from large public-service organisations looking for digital transformation or consolidation, to nimble start-ups building an app -  and everything in-between. You can come and go. Most people in the Equal Experts network work with us on a contract basis. We’re not naive enough to suppose that experience software consultants won’t want to move on, or move around, and we’re fine with that. In fact, we often welcome our associates back after a stint working elsewhere. We’re a family of like-minded people. What makes EE different, and special, is that we value our associates as an extended family - a family where building relationships, opening your mind to new ideas and methods of working, and making lasting friendships makes you feel like you really belong. We respect everyone. We treat our network of grown-ups with respect - which means they can voice their opinion without worrying about putting someone’s nose out of joint. That’s why our network is remarkably loyal. We work with our associates to find the right project and location - after all, we want them to be happy, and to stay within the network. Who we’re looking for People who join our network are mature and experienced but humble and considerate. They’ll have strong opinions but know how to get them across the right way. They’ll be able to take the lead when needed, and work as part of a team. We’re also looking for people who can: Present and share: In our network we’re inquisitive and keen to learn more. If you can share your ideas or experience, there will always be people who want to listen and contribute. Communicate well: Crucial within cross-functional teams, across a disparate network such as EE and for client relationships Solve problems creatively: Because complex problems often need to be approached from different angles. Mentor: Both internally within the network, and with our clients’ in-house staff. Give and take feedback: None of us is perfect, so cross-checking your work with others in your team and across the network is a key way to validate it and to improve. Organise: Themselves, their team and their client! Have gravitas: Our clients expect us to be professional and often defer to our expertise. Analyse: Some of our client challenges require strategic thinking and domain analysis. Think like a business thinks: It helps to fully understand the issues and priorities that will affect a client’s decision-making. Self-motivate: Someone who’s up for a challenge and keen to deliver the right thing to the client at the right time. Manage conflict: We’re grown-ups and our culture is all about respect and collaboration, but sometimes strong opinions can lead to strong words. Does this sound like the kind of place you want to work at? We look forward to hearing more from you.
